PURPLE STAR PROGRAM

BCSC is proud to have had nearly all of its schools receive Purple Star status from the Indiana Department of Education in the last three years, showing the corporation's commitment to service members, veterans, and students and families connected to our nation’s military.

Schools can receive Purple Star status by honoring a commitment to employing veterans or family members of veterans, creating a public military recognition display, and celebrating veterans in an annual Veterans Day program.

BCSC salutes the veterans in our school community, the city of Columbus, and Bartholomew County and is proud to provide resources for our families of active service members and military veterans. As of 2025, the following BCSC schools have been awarded this prestigious designation:
