Program Offerings

All BCSC Pre-K classrooms use a Reggio-inspired approach, focusing on learning through play, exploration, conversation, and meaningful real-world experiences.

Children receive daily, research-based early literacy instruction using the same high-quality curriculum found in BCSC elementary classrooms.
Specialized Pathway Programs (application required)

CSA Pathway - CSA Fodrea and CSA Lincoln

• Columbus Signature Academies focus on Project-Based Learning, where students collaborate, solve real-world problems, and build strong community connections.

LEGADO Spanish Language Immersion - Clifty Creek.

• Legado supports students in becoming bilingual by the end of 6th-grade. Pre-K instruction is delivered 80% in Spanish and 20% in English, providing an early foundation in language immersion.

Age Requirements

Children must be 4 years old by August 1st of the current school year and not yet 5 years old at the time of enrollment.

Tuition (2026-27 School Year)

• Full Tuition Weekly Option: $175 per week, paid weekly 
• Full Tuition Annual Option: $6,160 for the full school year

Tuition may be paid by cash, check, or credit card through MySchool Bucks.

Financial Assistance options may be available. Families interested in learning more are encouraged to contact the Pre-K Enrollment and Tuition Office. 

Transportation Options

Families may choose one or a combination of the following transportation options:
Bus Transportation:

• Provided to students’ districted schools.
• Buses are equipped with 5-point harnesses and staffed with bus monitors. 
• An adult must be present at both pick-up and drop-off for safety.

Car Drop-Off & Pick-Up

• Available at all elementary school sites.
• Pre-K staff assist students out of their vehicles and escort them into the school building.

Before/After Care

• Available at each BCSC elementary school for an additional cost.
• Spaces are limited; early application is strongly recommended.

Breakfast and Lunch

Pre-K students receive meals designed to meet the nutritional needs of young children.

• Free breakfast and lunch are currently offered at:
  • Clifty Creek (LEGADO), Mt. Healthy, Richards, Schmitt, Smith, and Taylorsville
• Breakfast and lunch may be purchased at:
  •  CSA Fodrea, CSA Lincoln, Parkside, Rockcreek, and Southside

Families may also choose to send breakfast and/or lunch from home. Breakfast participation is optional.

School Day & Calendar

Pre-K classes are held Monday-Friday from 7:45 a.m. to 2:35 p.m., including drop-off and pick-up.  Start and end times may vary slightly by location.

BCSC Pre-K follows the BCSC school calendar, including observed holidays, school breaks, inclement weather delays, school cancellations, and eLearning days.
