The planetarium is open to student groups on a scheduled basis. There is currently no charge for admission, but please consider making a donation, of no more than $5 per person, to support maintenance and programming. Please note that the planetarium has seats for a maximum of 50 visitors and programming is recommended for children ages 5 years and older. Please do not bring food or drinks to the planetarium and plan to silence your personal communication devices. Photographs and video-recordings are not permitted during the programs.
There are openings for classes to schedule field trips during the school day as well as opportunities for groups to schedule after school.
To learn more about the planetarium or to schedule a visit for your group, please email the planetarium director: Mr. Derek Chastain. Mr. Chastain is a full-time science teacher at East High and loves volunteering his time to run the planetarium.
